AFNS] NEW YORK, USA 28 March 2006 – Tiffany & Co. announced on March 20 that it plans to open two new stores in China this year. The first of the stores will open in May in Beijings Oriental Plaza, a prominent retail center. It will measure approximately 1,900 gross square feet. Shanghais Plaza 66, a luxury shopping center, will see an approximately 700-square-foot Tiffany’s outlet open in the fall.
Both stores will offer a range of the company’s jewelry collections, including diamond engagement rings, Tiffany Celebration rings, and diamond jewelry platinum and 18-karat gold settings. Other designs include pearls, fashion jewelry and watches, the collections of Paloma Picasso and Jean Schlumberger, gifts and accessories.
The new stores are the companys second locations in both cities. Tiffany currently has a boutique in Beijings Peninsula Palace Hotel, which opened in 2001, and a boutique in the City Plaza shopping complex in Shanghai, which opened in 2004.
